bicycle/music festival -
May 25th & 26th, 2019
MAJOR UPDATE ABOUT THE FLOODING CONDITIONS AND UPDATES TO THE RIDE - The ride is still on! We have a back up plan in action and the shows will go on - Please click here to view the update with the ride to get the inside scoop
DUE TO FLOODING ON THE TRAIL - We will be changing the starting and finishing location to 420 North Roby Farm Road, Rocheport, MO 65279 - Packet pickup, registration and bag drop will be from 8:30 am until 10:30 am. One Way Traffic will kick off music at The Stomp'n Grounds on Saturday morning before the ride at 10 am. Bicyclists will then pedal down Hwy Bb for 2.3 miles. The party in Rocheport will be moved from our regular spot at the City Park to the lot next to Meriwether Cafe and Bike Shop. The concerts will continue as scheduled for the rest of Saturday! There will also be a detour on Hwy 240 leaving Rocheport to Hwy 40 to the conservation area (3 miles) - Then riders will be back on the trail and ready for the remaining stretch to Boonville (12 miles) - The total ride distance will be under 20 miles. On Sunday the ride will be on the same route back and at the end of the ride there will be a post ride party at The Stomp'n Grounds with the music of the Comancheros. Even with the detours and the possible occasional rain (don't we get a taste of that every other year?) it is going to be a great weekend adventure!
For non-riders with ticket passes to the Kemper Park Festivities, gates open at 3 pm on Saturday, May 25th. Kemper Park is located at 757 3rd St, Boonville, MO behind the YMCA building. Cars will not be permitted in the park. Free street side parking will be located close to the YMCA building.
Bicyclists depart from Rocheport, MO, on the morning of Saturday, May 25th. Drop off your overnight packs at check in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. Enjoy the scenic views of the Katy Trail State Park as you ride on crushed limestone trails flanked by cliffs and the Missouri River. Stop at your convenience at a handful of locations to enjoy live music and entertainment. Bands will play throughout the day in communities across the trail.
The final destination, Boonville's awesome Kemper Park, will once again host the feature event with main stage music. Overnight camping at Kemper Park will be free for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available at local establishments. There will be food available at restaurants throughout the town of Boonville as well as food vendors at Kemper Park.
